Choosing Between Wood Or Plastic
Looking at the world from before up to now, civilization has truly developed. Man uses his creativity in forming things with the raw materials that nature willingly allows man to have. The decision is left with man on how it will be used. From simple stuffs to gigantic and astonishing buildings, man simply is creative and resourceful. In making things, the type of material used and the level of quality placed in producing the product are vital in making it endure the test of time. Wood and plastic are probably one of the most important material man can use in making almost all things. They are organic in nature and in some way, they both are similar with the uses we have for them. From a simple key holder to a chair and to a more complex stuff like a decorative, both play a role to it.
When it comes to their properties, plastic is ductile. Companies having plastic as one of their materials for their product has an advantage since plastic can be molded and can be surged. It is therefore much easier to fashion objects out of it and turn it into a product worth buying in the market. Examples of these would be stools, kitchen wares, discs, and the like. Plastic indeed is a unique material. Going to the other side, when the word wood is used we can directly connect it to the word solid since one of its defining characteristic would be its strength and security that it can give to its buyers and potential customers. Although with the quality outcome that it can give to its buyers, it is usually costly. If plastic can be pressed and flexed, then wood would be the exact opposite of it. Since wood has the ability to repel any pressure placed on it, it remains durable and with its difference in composition to that of plastic it cannot be easily formed. You might see work of art made from pieces of wood and you would ask the artist to how long did it take to make such an artistic piece, about 6 to 12 months would be his answer. Wood, same with plastic, is a unique material as well.
With the differences and similarities that both have, it is always up to the consumer what type of material would be used. Whatever you may decide on, choose wisely.
